The beginning of the trip!
Been gone for a bit, but now I’m back! Got some news, and I’ll be back to updating regularly on here too!
#lowcardiet Thanks to @zipcarseattle for the awesome hookup with @spudseattle sustainable delivery! It’s smoothie time!

#lowcardiet Checking in 2 pounds lighter at the beginning of this week! from 221 to 219. It was actually 219.2 earlier in the day, but after drinking a buncha water and realizing I wanted to take a picture. Feeling really good too btw!
#lowcardiet So yesterday me and my friend @jenniferfarris took out a Zipcar and headed over to Pioneer Square for the First Thursday Art Walk. It was pretty dope! We saw some pretty spiffy stuff. I think my fav piece were these little oil based pieces of plywood that were painted to look like polaroid pictures! Check out the vid.

#lowcardiet Time for a good, long workout today! Today and tomorrow are weight cutting days this week! Tons of cardio, water, veggies, protiens, low carbs, vitamins. Let’s get it!

#lowcardiet So my run this morning was pretty good. I ran a mile in 7:05. Just a tiny bit over the pace I had set from yesterday of 6:50, but not too bad. I was running outside this time instead of the treadmill, and it was significantly colder as well, so it took me a bit to get my breathing and pace down. I used the Microsoft photosynth app on my phone to take some panoramic shots of the sound/bay and they came out pretty well. The sun rises in the east, so I wasn’t able to catch the actual sunrise, but it did make for some pretty dope shots of the horizon.

Mid-day now, and I’ve been working from home today, while handling some personal business, but I’m rushing to get outside in some of this sun. I’m baking a chicken breast I marinated last night, and I’ll be eating that with some brown rice and peas! Which is seriously like one of my favorite meals at home to cook. Super simple, but it’s like my go to at this point. Going to try to get another run in this afternoon before I head back out, I’m gonna head to the Pioneeer Square Art Walk a little later tonight I think. Tomorrow kicks off Seafair Weekend!

#lowcardiet Up and at em early this morning! I want to catch the sun rising today, so I’m going to go run on Elliot Bay this morning for like an hour or so…should be good. Here’s what I ate yesterday.
Oh and here’s a pic of a “Seattle Sunrise”

Maybe I can catch something as beautiful! Stay tuned…

#lowcardiet Sorry a little late with the recap for Tuesday. So yesterday I tried to eat a little more, and I also rounded out the diet with some different things. I worked out a ton too, so I decided to eat a little bit more. I still had some calories left at the end of the day, but I didn’t consume a ton of carbs. I also worked out a little bit, took yesterday as a break from the hard workout. Today I’ve already run a 6:50min mile, and I’m about to head back into the gym as we speak! Didn’t have any veggies or fruit, and I’ll be adding that in again today, since I had a chance to go shopping FINALLY!
#lowcardiet So I just booked my first Zipcar reservation. I’ll be heading over to Trader Joe’s around like 6:30 to get some much needed grocery shopping done! I’ll probably finish before the hour time is out, so maybe I’ll cruise around a bit since it’s so nice out. Any suggestions on what to buy!?!
Oh here’s my wheels..

Pretty sweet eh?!?
#lowcardiet So yesterday, I didn’t eat very much, that wasn’t on purpose, but yeah. Here’s a screen shot of my day’s intake.

Not too bad. Didn’t eat any meat, or many carbs, and that’s kinda why the Calorie intake was so low. I also ran over a mile and walked over 3, so that raised my limit as well.
Should be a good day today, gonna head to Trader Joe’s later tonight with my Zipcar and get some goodies for the rest of the week. I’ll keep you posted!
Week 1 recap of the #lowcardiet

#lowcardiet week 1 is officially over, and I’m happy with my progress thus far! I didn’t have a ton of chances to post this last week, but I’ll be doing much more of it this week. I worked out a ton this week, and used a few different ways to track it. The most common was the MapMyRun app on my iPhone. Along with pushups, crunches, and some weightlifting, I managed to trek about 16 miles on foot last week. I also dropped a total of 5 pounds! I’m down from 226 to 221. I’d say that’s a pretty good start considering I didn’t change any eating habits yet. This week, I’m going to be on a specific diet to an extent, cutting out most of the unnecessary snack items, and taking out most carbs as well. I’m also planning on finding some parts for some wheels I picked up a while back…

Since I don’t really have the money to buy a bike, I decided to look into getting this guy fixed. I bought the Curb Cruiser about 6-7 months back, and when I did the tires and everything were intact, but since it was so old, of course the tubes didn’t last very long. So now I need to get those replaced, get the handlebars raised, and fix the brake line. Once I do I’ll probably ride this bad boy up and down to the Rich Kids and DList Magazine offices. Pretty sweet vintage scooter! I remember having one of these guys when I was a kid, and I’m excited to get it fixed.
This week I’ll be working on more projects for Rich Kids, as well as reshaping my diet a bit. I’ll be sure to keep you more updated on everything. And I’ll be using my Zipcar membership for the first time this week as well!
Stay Tuned!
